Broken Promises

I know.

I know!

I had great intentions last week. But life changed my plans and blew my intentions to SMITHEREENS.

Is SMITHEREENS a word?

And now, here we are, nearly all the way through another week, and still no pictures. No updates. No reflections on what God is doing. No recipes. (And I do have recipes).

But today, I have a turkey to buy and preparations to make for the Thanksgiving dinner we will be having on Sunday.

SUNDAY?! Yikes!

I have to go to the store right now or we will be having chicken instead.

If you have any brilliant tips on making the most delicious turkey ever, please do share. I love cooking tips. And I love comments. And I love turkey. So please, help this girl with the spinning head and the messy house and pile of laundry and the runny-nosed kids and the empty fridge. She needs it.

Coming Soon!

Yes, I know I've been neglecting the blog and leaving you all in suspense over the adoption.

My apologies.

Truth be told, we've been super crazy ridiculous busy with everything from fairy costumes to field trips to family gatherings to ministry responsibilities to making jam.

(Yep, you heard it right. Making jam! Peach and strawberry jam are done, and pomegranate jelly will be boiling away on my stove in just a few short hours--YUM!!)

You may have noticed I haven't posted any news on the adoption...it means we need you to keep praying. We can't be very specific just yet, but the power of prayer is absolutely required right now. We're counting on you.

Amongst the craziness of these last few weeks, our wonderful, faithful Heavenly Father has been ministering and teaching and growing and challenging and loving and inspiring us in ways I so want to share with you, and I will, in due time.

And then there's pictures. We definitely need some pictures.

So keep checking back this week. New things are coming.
